二少三年級的日常生活中，最愛玩爆丸和超級英雄；無論看書，畫畫，或自己玩，每天都好像有打不完的壞人似的。也因此，他今年的書單中，充滿了無數的怪獸。Beast Quest 系列是他上半年的最愛，一口氣拼了十多本。 Geronimo Stilton 老鼠記者的冒險故事也看了不少。而考完試的六月，他則完全迷上大頭尼 Big Nate，笑聲連連地看了10多本呢﹗媽媽導讀的書中我們的最愛包括 Kensuke's Kingdom, Holes, 和手斧男孩系列 Hatchet 等冒險故事，聽這些故事的時候，他總是聽到不肯睡覺呢﹗ 而 Holes 念完，我還在網上找到了電影，以前哥哥念時都沒看過，他們愛極了。可惜 Hatchet 的電影我在網上都找不到。Hatchet 系列的最後一本書，我們因為沒有英文的，所以看了中文翻譯版本。不得不說的是，翻譯版本真的很'難'讀；雖然說每個字面意思是翻到了，但英文原著吸引人的那塊磁石，那個讓人欲罷不能的緊張情緒，和故事整體的順暢流動好像都不見了。前幾個章節時，媽媽甚至想放棄了，還好後來進入故事主題時，語文也終於順暢了些，我們才把翻譯本看完。

這個是我們讀玩 Hatchet 後，他用 Lego 蓋了 Brian 住的地方。 我在網上找到很多學生們做出手斧男孩求生時的場景，覺得很有趣；其實有很多書，比如 Kensuke's Kingdom, Island of the Blue Dolphin 等等，都可以試著讓孩子做出書中的場景，一方面活化書中的場面可以讓孩子對角色和背景的認識更加深刻，另一方面，用藝術體現出場景也可以加強趣味性和對細節的關注。本來想去山上找一些樹枝石頭什麼的，來做個 shoebox diorama 的，但是那個星期剛好天氣不佳，於是讓二少用他最愛的 Lego 造了一個他腦海中書中主角住的地方。他造完，自己還自言自語地玩了很久呢﹗
